The Miya team operates the website (https://miya.academy) and the miya academy mobile application.
This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App Service (Miya Academy Primary and Secondary) and the choices you have associated with that data.
We use your data (gender, country) to provide and improve the service based on your geography. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.
INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE
We collect information (name, gender, contact and country) from our users, and we permit the user to store their evaluation scores locally (offline) on the mobile app, which it uses to grade them and provide more insights as to their progress.
TYPES OF DATA COLLECTED
PERSONAL DATA
Name, contact, country and gender only.
USAGE DATA
The personal information is used to provide customised content for learning while the scores are collected and used to inform the user of their evaluation statistics. This data is at the disposal of the user and if the user wishes to delete alltheir data this will be done as requested after authenticating the user (usually 2 weeks maximum) to avoid any third party requesting this for another user.
TRANSFER OF DATA
We transfer this personal data to our servers for backup and it synchronises to the other devices on which the account is authenticated. We keep a local copy on the device so that the user can see what information has been submitted by them at any time and can reach us for any issues.
CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
